Create Assignment Estimates using the Description Builder

Do you often shoot similar types of assignments? There is a way in fotoBiz 2.0 to create estimates for similar assignments without having to start from scratch for each estimate.

In addition to the assignment estimate that you could print in fotoBiz 1, describing the rights that were requested by your client and the line items of all expenses, fotoBiz 2.0 also lets you create and print an estimate that includes a written description of your job.

The printed estimate can be part description and part line item detail, or your estimate can be a job description only. The "description only estimate" is used by many photographers and was one of our most requested features for the fotoBiz upgrade.

To make it easy to create job descriptions in your estimates, we've added a new feature called the Description Builder. This feature works like the Write module that lets you create letters from templates.

With the Description Builder, you create job descriptions from templates. Each time you bid a job, create a description for your assignment, then save that description as a template. The next time you have a similar job, just call up the template, make the needed changes, and you're done. After you do this for a few jobs, you should have most of your assignment types covered. This is a real time saver.

To select the type of estimate you want to print when you click the Print button, click the blue Setup button on the Assignment Worksheet, and select from the choices there.
